A man is in critical condition after a’serious incident’ at Melbourne’s Urbnsurf
After falling and having a heart attack at a prominent adventure sports centre in Melbourne, a guy is in serious condition.
At 11.30 a.m. on Friday, police and paramedics were dispatched to URBNSURF in Tullamarine in response to reports of an unconscious male.
The surfer, who is said to be in his 40s, was hauled from the ocean unconscious and given CPR until paramedics arrived.
The individual was reported to have suffered a head injury before being sent to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in serious condition.
Following the event, the park was immediately closed.
Worksafe has been alerted, and a police investigation is underway.
“Our first priority is the health and safety of our customers. As soon as the incident occurred, we immediately closed the park and are continuing to provide our full cooperation to the first responders and police.
“The facility will remain closed until further notice.
“As a police investigation is underway, we are unable to provide any further comment.”
